Women Called to Proclaim Christ and Live Exemplary Lives – GEC Women’s Ministry

A Call to Action: Women as Agents of Change

Rev. Mrs. Patricia Akpene Tegbe-Agbo, the National Coordinator of the Women’s Ministry of the Global Evangelical Church (GEC), has delivered a powerful message urging women to embrace their role as messengers of Christ and exemplars of faith, compassion, and integrity.

In her address, she emphasized that women of faith have a significant responsibility to positively influence families, churches, and communities while preparing the world for the second coming of Christ. Her words were shared on the occasion of International Women’s Day, an annual global celebration held on March 8 to honor the achievements of women and reflect on their contributions to social, economic, and spiritual progress.

Rev. Mrs. Tegbe-Agbo extended her congratulations to women across Ghana and members of the GEC worldwide, acknowledging their strength, resilience, and invaluable contributions to society and the Christian faith. She noted that the day also serves as a time for reflection on the divine calling and responsibilities of women in shaping the future.

“God has entrusted women with influence in families, churches, communities, and nations. Through our voices, actions, and faith, we shape the future and nurture generations,” she said. This sentiment underscores the critical role that women play in fostering positive change and maintaining the moral fabric of society.

The theme of the church’s women ministry, “Preach Christ and His Second Coming,” was highlighted as a reminder of the sacred mission of Christian women in a world marked by uncertainty, conflicts, and moral challenges. According to Rev. Mrs. Tegbe-Agbo, the message of Christ remains the greatest source of hope for humanity. She urged women to rise with courage and conviction to proclaim the love, salvation, and lordship of Jesus Christ.

She further explained that preaching Christ goes beyond sermons delivered from the pulpit. It involves demonstrating faith through daily conduct. “Our homes, workplaces, markets, schools, and communities must become places where the light of Christ shines through our compassion, integrity, service, and unwavering faith,” she stated.

Rev. Mrs. Tegbe-Agbo also encouraged women to remind the world of the promise of Christ’s second coming, which she described as a source of hope that should inspire believers to live holy and purposeful lives. “This glorious hope should inspire us to serve faithfully, live righteous lives, and prepare others for His return,” she said.

She urged women of the Global Evangelical Church and Ghana to remain steadfast in their faith and continue to play their roles in nurturing families, supporting communities, and advancing the mission of the church. Rev. Mrs. Tegbe-Agbo emphasized that women’s voices and contributions are essential to spiritual and social transformation.

“Your voice matters, your ministry matters, and your witness matters,” she stated. Her words reflect a deep understanding of the power of women in driving change and fostering unity.

Rev. Mrs. Tegbe-Agbo concluded by praying for strength and divine guidance for women to fulfill their God-given responsibilities. She called on women to remain united in faith and commitment to spreading the message of Christ to the world.

As the day concludes, her message serves as a reminder of the vital role that women play in shaping the future and reflecting the values of Christ in every aspect of life.
