The Kpone Katamanso Municipal Health Directorate has been awarded the prestigious title of Overall Best Performing District in the Greater Accra Region for the year 2025. In stark contrast to its current top position, Kpone Katamanso was ranked among the bottom three districts during the 2024 half-year performance review. Esther Priscilla Biamah Danquah, the Metro Director of Health Services for Kpone Katamanso, acknowledged the demoralizing impact of the previous poor ranking. She stated that despite months of dedicated work, the expected measurable results were not materializing, which presented a significant challenge to the morale of the Directorate.
However, instead of succumbing to discouragement, the leadership and staff of the Kpone Katamanso Municipal Health Directorate embraced a strategic reset. Ms. Danquah detailed that the Directorate initiated a thorough review of its performance data.
