Aspiring Senator Vows Quality Representation for Osun West
As political parties sharpen their focus on the upcoming electoral cycles, a prominent figure seeking the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Osun West senatorial district has articulated a clear vision for his constituents. Alhaji Waliyulai Adebayo Oladosu, widely known as Rovet, has declared his intention to vie for a seat in the National Assembly with the primary objective of delivering “quality representation” to the people of his senatorial district.
Oladosu expressed strong optimism regarding the APC’s prospects in forthcoming elections. He confidently predicted a resounding victory for the party’s governorship candidate in Osun State, Alhaji Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), in the August 2026 gubernatorial contest. Furthermore, he extended this confidence to the national stage, forecasting a re-election for President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
In a statement released by his media team, the politician, who hails from Iwo, issued an earnest appeal to APC leaders, stakeholders, and the broader electorate. He urged for a substantial turnout of votes in favour of the APC during the National Assembly elections scheduled for February of the following year, as well as the presidential polls.
“To replicate the wonderful job of President Bola Tinubu, I am assuring that if I am given the APC Osun West senatorial ticket, we shall win,” Oladosu asserted. He elaborated that securing the ticket would provide him with a crucial platform to “further serve our people who have been yearning for good and quality representation all this while.”
Leveraging Experience for Grassroots Development
A key tenet of Oladosu’s campaign is his deep familiarity with the needs and aspirations of the Osun West senatorial district. He emphasised his intention to utilise his extensive knowledge, broad exposure, and established connections to effectively channel attention and resources from both the Federal Government and private sector entities. The ultimate goal, he stated, is to address the prevailing challenges faced by the community.
The aspirant underscored the importance of unwavering support for the APC, not only in the upcoming Osun governorship election but also in the 2027 general elections. Alhaji Oladosu made a firm commitment to maintaining a direct and consistent line of communication with the grassroots populace. He highlighted the historical marginalisation of these communities, who he believes have consistently contributed significantly while receiving comparatively little in return.
“I can assure you that my presence at the National Assembly will prioritise the interests of our people at the grassroots, who always give so much but receive little in return,” he declared. “Above all, if given the opportunity from next year, by the grace of God, my voice in the hallowed chamber will be for the betterment of the senatorial district and the state.”
A Call for Unity and Mobilisation
Alhaji Oladosu revealed that he has been actively engaged in intensified consultations across all 10 local government areas within the Osun West senatorial district. He urged party faithful to remain steadfast and diligent in their mobilisation efforts, stressing that sustained commitment is essential for ensuring the APC’s triumph at the ballot box.
In his appeal for party cohesion, he called for a unified purpose among APC members throughout Osun State. He also implored the citizens to uphold peace and adhere to the rule of law, positing that these are fundamental prerequisites for achieving the envisioned progress and development within the society.
The aspirant’s proactive engagement and clear articulation of his agenda signal a determined effort to connect with voters and demonstrate his readiness to serve. His focus on grassroots empowerment and his pledge to be a vocal advocate in the National Assembly are central to his campaign message.
As the political landscape continues to evolve, Oladosu’s candidacy represents a significant point of discussion for the APC in Osun West. His ability to translate his promises into tangible actions, should he be elected, will be closely watched by his constituents and the wider political community. The emphasis on “quality representation” suggests a desire to move beyond conventional politics and deliver concrete benefits to the electorate.
The upcoming elections present a critical juncture for Osun State, and candidates like Alhaji Oladosu are keen to present themselves as the catalysts for positive change. His campaign narrative appears to be carefully crafted to resonate with the everyday concerns of the people, aiming to build a strong foundation of trust and support.
