Governor Hyacinth Alia Reports Improved Security in Benue State

Governor Hyacinth Alia has reported a significant improvement in the security situation across Benue State. On Thursday, he stated that only three out of the state’s 23 local government areas are currently experiencing minimal security threats. The governor made these remarks during a courtesy visit by the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, at the Government House in Makurdi. “Out of the 23 local government areas in Benue State, about 17 were under serious security threat when we came in. Today, only three are experiencing minimal threats, and even in those areas, there is relative peace,” Alia said.
