PPL Wins Asia Pacific Corporate Excellence Award

PPL’s Recognition as a Leader in Logistics and Innovation

On October 9, PPL was honored with a prestigious award, marking a significant milestone in its ongoing efforts to expand its global footprint. The Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards (APEAs) celebrate companies and entrepreneurs who are driving innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation across the region. These awards highlight businesses that are positioned to lead the economy into a future defined by green initiatives and technological advancement.

Founded in 2014, PPL has carved out a niche in the specialized field of super long–super heavy transportation. The company has invested heavily in technology and human capital, ensuring it masters every complex technical process involved in its operations. PPL operates a state-of-the-art fleet of Self-Propelled Modular Transporters from Germany, utilizes Bentley project management software from the UK, and relies on a highly skilled engineering team. This combination of advanced tools and expertise enables PPL to manage major projects both domestically and internationally.

In June, PPL achieved a national logistics milestone by successfully executing the site-move and load-out of a 4,000-tonne offshore substation topside at PV Shipyard Port in Vung Tau. For the first time, a Vietnamese company managed the entire operation—from solution design and equipment coordination to safety management—demonstrating technical capabilities that match those of leading regional logistics firms.

Earlier in May, PPL transported and loaded out a 3,200-tonne offshore substation jacket. The company also played a crucial role in moving and loading all 33 offshore wind power foundations for PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation. Over the course of 18 months, PPL completed 800 shipments ranging from 350 to 2,387 tonnes per unit, contributing to 9.7 million safe working hours. These accomplishments solidify PPL’s position as a leader in super long–super heavy transportation for offshore wind projects.

At the award ceremony, Do Hoang Phuong, chairman and CEO of PPL, expressed his pride in the recognition. He stated, “This award is a great source of pride for our entire team, validating our innovation efforts and aspirations to reach the regional level. This recognition is a driving force for us to step up investment in technology, improve our capabilities, and bring Vietnam’s logistics industry in line with international standards.”
